Overview
Fiber grooming (media conversion and optimization) incorporates a
wide variety of data transmission functions traditionally implemented
through multiple independent solutions. The MRV XY multi-function
media converters combine media conversion, distance extension, and
fiber optimization into versatile multi-function modules. The EM316SW-
XY, the flagship member of the XY family, is the Fast Ethernet chameleon
of the Fiber Driver Optical Multi-Service Platform.
The Fiber Driver EM316SW-XY converter family combines two Fast
Ethernet copper ports and two modular SFP ports to serve several
traditional roles with virtually any network media.
