DEFINITION OF CLOCK AND CYCLE
• System clock
This is the source clock input to the X
IN
pin. Connect pins X
IN
and X
OUT
directly. Then, pull up X
IN
pin through a resistor and
pull down X
OUT
pin through a capacitor.
• Instruction clock
The instruction clock is a signal derived by dividing the system
clock by 4, and is the basic clock for controlling this product.
• Machine cycle
One machine cycle is the time required to execute the minimum
instruction (one-cycle instruction). The machine cycle is
equivalent to the instruction clock cycle.
