Optical Splitter

The Emcore Model 1188QA Optical Splitter / Coupler pro-

vides the ability to create a variety of point-to-multipoint

ﬁber optic networks. When used with any of Emcore’s

transmitters it allows a single unit to transmit to as many

as 16 optical receivers with low insertion loss and excel-

lent ﬂatness. The splitter / coupler accepts both 1310 nm

and 1550 nm optical inputs and splits the signal into the

required number of outputs for distribution to separate

locations.

Thus allowing the private network provider to conﬁgure their exact require-

ments while providing the most cost-effective solution.
