**C2 must be at least 100µF to maintain stability; it can be increased
without bound to maintain regulation during transients and it should be
located as close as possible to the regulator. This capacitor must be
rated over the same operating temperature range like the regulator. The
ESR of this capacitor is critical (see curve).
